GREENOCK is set for a musical explosion as 'Madchester' comes to the town hall - with some top anthems from an unforgettable era.
A generation of music fans can relive the magic of a moment in time with Oasis tribute act Definitely Maybe taking on Adored.
Madchester Revisited is one of the many big gigs lined up by Inverclyde Leisure's Showcase Events team to follow up a hugely successful 2023.
And it comes 20 years after Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown played in the town hall.
Organiser Jim Lyon, who works for Inverclyde Leisure's entertainment arm Showcase, said: "We are really excited about this gig. There are so many fans of both bands here in Inverclyde.
"It was a very iconic time in music, both bands were massive and Manchester had a fantastic music scene.
"We are looking forward to the Oasis v Stone Roses night."
Later this month fans of both bands can soak it all up as the tribute acts take to the stage.
The Madchester Revisited stars Definitely Maybe certainly bring the spirit of the Gallagher brothers to the fore.
They have been together for 18 years and performed across the globe.
Adored are the definitive Stone Roses tribute act, bringing some of the best tunes from the late 80s and 90s back to life.
In 2004 Stone Roses singer Ian Brown came to Greenock for a one off gig in the town hall.
Showcase organiser Jim said: "The Greenock Town Hall is a great music venue and our nights have been a huge success.
"We have lots of room in the town hall for initimate gigs and also for the big ones like this.
"We are hoping to bring back some of our favourite acts from last year.
"There were a lot of great memories made last year."
Some of the big moments included Taylor Swift tribute performer Katie Ellis, who could have sold out the hall twice over.
The Northern Soul Oldies and Motown classics gigs this month are already sold out and later in the year there is the Ready Steady 60s Show.
Madchester Revisited Oasis v the Stone Roses is coming to the Greenock Town Hall on Friday April 19.
