AN Inverclyde yacht club is inviting people to try out sailing for free as part of an initiative starting this month.
Royal Gourock Yacht Club is offering four free Discover Sailing sessions which can be used between May and September.
A registration event will be held at 7pm on April 19 for those interested in taking part.
A spokesperson for RGYC said: “Whether you’re interested in learning to sail for the first time, coming back to sailing or just wondering what it’s all about the aim is to get everyone out on the water on a sailing boat.”
Adult sessions will be held on Tuesday afternoons and Friday evenings, with those aged 12-18 being invited to join the Cadet programme on Thursday nights.
The sessions, which will run for two to three hours, will cover the basics of sailing.
Those who are interested but unable to attend the registration event should contact royalgourocksocialsailing@gmail.com.
