A THOUGHT provoking drama is shining a light on what it's like to be autistic.
The Autism Atlas group put on a show at the Beacon which proved a big hit with audiences.
'In Our World: A Day on the Spectrum' was staged in the studio theatre and was written, produced and performed by autistic adults from Inverclyde.
Kira McCarthy, of Autism Atlas, said: "In the show we explore different life scenarios and the challenges people on the spectrum face, but also the solutions to these challenges.
"The real strength of the play is covering scenarios, with a real teacher in the classroom and with local officers in a scene in the police station.
"There are also situations in an office and a retail environment. It has involved the whole community.
"We have had tremendous feedback, one member of the audience said it was one of the best ways they'd had autism explained to them."
Autism Atlas is an autistic led training company and its show was produced by Kira and colleagues Greg Smith and Alanah Temple.
