SINGERS hit the right note with music fans at a packed concert in Lyle Kirk in Greenock.
More than 100 people attended Greenock Philharmonic Choir's spring concert.
The choir performed composer's Druce completion of Mozart’s Requiem, along with two Handel Coronation Anthems, including ‘Zadok the Priest’, with Glasgow Chamber Orchestra.
Musical director Nicholas Wilks said: "An audience of around 135 attended and the response to the music was exceptional.
“It was a great privilege to introduce our Greenock audience to a new completion of Mozart’s Requiem, which included music which was both familiar and unfamiliar, including some Mozart sketches which are rarely heard.
"The evening’s highlight for me was when a member of the audience came up afterwards to say what an exciting revelation her first ever classical concert had been.”
The soloists were Sarah Power (soprano), Sarah Shorter (mezzo soprano), Connor Smith (tenor) and Colin Murray (baritone). The organist was Christopher Nickol.
This was the choir’s first spring concert under Nicholas.
More information about GPC is available on the choir’s website and Facebook page.
