A NEW business could soon open up at a Greenock retail unit following the liquidation of the previous long-term tenant.

Bathroom supplies company Ware With All - which was based at Clarence Street - ceased to trade and appointed liquidators earlier this year after more than two decades serving Inverclyde.

Nine redundancies resulted from the collapse of the retailer, which was founded in 2002 by Alan and Elizabeth Mortimer and originally located within Cappielow Industrial Estate.

The vacant building, with a warehouse and first floor offices, was marketed for let by local property management firm Bowman Rebecchi and was previously home to James Walker Devol.

Available at a guide rent of £48,000 per annum, the property was advertised as 'a fantastic space for a business to position itself and is rarely available in Inverclyde'.

Bowman Rebecchi have confirmed that an offer has been accepted for the near-14,000 square foot commercial premises, though no further details have yet been released.

The Telegraph previously reported that liquidators Johnston Carmichael were appointed to wind up the Ware With All business in January and several customers claimed they were left out of pocket due to incomplete orders.
