A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital after a crash which closed a road near Kilmacolm for several hours.
A car and a motorbike were involved in the collision on Lochwinnoch Road, at the crossroads between the B786 and the B788, on Monday afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a crash, involving a car and a motorbike, on Lochwinnoch Road near Kilmacolm around 4.20pm on Monday April 15.
“Emergency services attended and the 44-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment."
Police said the road had been shut but it has now reopened and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
