AN upturned vessel which was spotted drifting in waters off Gourock yesterday has been successfully recovered.
HM Coastguard issued a local navigation warning yesterday after receiving a report of a pleasure craft adrift in the Clyde.
The alarm was raised at about 6.15am and Clydeport's port authority were also notified.
Yesterday afternoon the maritime organisation asked locals not to make further calls about the stricken boat as it posed no risk to life.
The vessel, which had nobody on board, was directed towards the shore yesterday evening by a nearby boat, where it was safely recovered at the beach near McInroy's Point.
