A MAN aged 54 has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Gourock earlier this afternoon.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Albert Road at around 12.30pm.
Police Scotland say that enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
A spokesperson said: "Around 12.30pm on Tuesday 16 April we were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Albert Road, Gourock.
"Emergency services attended and the 54-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital.
"The road was reopened around 1.30pm."
