Pic1: As cycle tracks and pedestrianisation put the squeeze on cars, and a labyrinth of ill-timed traffic lights creates long queues of drivers trying to reach work, progress is being made in West Blackhall Street, but at some cost to existing businesses. Many of the current shops are facing unprecedented financial strain which could result in the area becoming a retail desert.
Pic2: Parishioners of Old Gourock and Ashton Church braved unseasonal weather to open a newly created outdoor space to complement their popular dementia cafe. The cafe has become a lifeline for many and people who visit are encouraged to enjoy the sun-trap garden.
Pic3: Tele reporter Lorraine Tinney and I got the opportunity to see famous stained glass artist Alec Galloway at work as he laid plans for his next big project. Alec has been commissioned to restore iconic windows in London's Natural History Museum. The windows will shield exhibits from harmful UV rays that cause damage and accelerate ageing of the priceless artefacts on show.
Pic4: Clyde Coastguard had been receiving multiple calls from members of the public concerned about a partially submerged boat spotted off Gourock.
The errant vessel had been bobbing about the stretch of Inverclyde coastline for some days, and was finally removed by tractor near McInroy's Point, Gourock.
