NOMINATIONS close in around a fortnight's time for this year's Pride of Inverclyde awards, recognising public sector workers who go above and beyond to improve the lives of people in the area.
Organised by Inverclyde Council, the awards celebrate local authority employees - individuals and teams - in four categories: Team of the Year, Employee of the Year, Outstanding Achievement, and Excellence in Innovation.

Special awards chosen by the council’s chief executive Louise Long and Provost Drew McKenzie will also be given out at the ceremony, as well as long service awards.
Nominations are open until Friday, May 24 and can be made at smartsurvey.co.uk/s/prideofinverclyde/.
