ENGINEERS have restored electricity in parts of Greenock following a powercut.
People living in the PA15 and PA16 postcode areas were affected by the outage, which started shortly before 3pm this afternoon.
Engineers were working to restore supplies and examined an overhead wire.
But just after 5.15pm, Scottish Power announced that power had been restored.
In a statement, Scottish Power said: "Supplies have been restored to customers affected by a powercut in PA15 PA16, Greenock.
"Thank you for your patience today."
Scottish Power apologised to customers for the disruption.
