A FANTASTIC former Morton goalkeeper has been added to the club's hall of fame.
Talented stopper Roy Baines, who made 335 appearances for Morton across two impressive spells, has become the first member of the Ton's hall of fame class of 2024.
The keeper signed for the Cappielow club from Hibernian in August 1972 and played for Morton during the 1970s and 1980s.
His two stints at Cappielow bookended a spell at Parkhead between October 1976 and March 1979, where he was one of Celtic's first team goalkeepers.
Mr Baines' 335 appearances for Morton place him second only to David Wylie in the club's all-time goalkeeping charts, as do his 90 clean sheets.
He is also the Morton goalkeeper with the most top-flight appearances in the club's 150-year history, with 312.
The club legend will be officially inducted in its hall of fame at the Cappielow side's end of season player of the year and hall of fame night on May 4.
