MORTON had an extremely poor start to the season when I remember saying we looked relegation certainties.

Then we went on the magnificent unbeaten run which had me thinking about the promotion playoffs being a realistic target.

Now after another poor run of results I am thinking we are in no man's land, or are we?

The relegation playoffs are now definitely a distinct possibility and I personally believe we need at least two or three points from our remaining three games to ensure we finish outside the danger zone.

We certainly do not want to be travelling through to Inverness for the last game of the season requiring a positive result to avoid the play-offs.

Thankfully even if we lose our final three games Queen's Park would need to win two of their matches to leave us in that dreaded spot but as I say it is a possibility and I am sure I am not alone in worrying about that happening.

Obviously I am currently looking through a glass half empty perspective but from a glass half full we could still finish fifth in the league which would equal our final position from last season!
